British countryside classics on the Beethovenstraat
Williams Farmhouse brings British countryside cooking to the Beethovenstraat, serving lunch, dinner and brunch in Amsterdam-Zuid. Twice a year the whole concept gets a fresh look and a full menu update, more than a seasonal special or two.
In summer it becomes Williams Botanical Garden, reverting back each autumn. Regulars end up with two different restaurants depending on when they visit.

Lovely restaurant with beautiful decor and genuinely warm service. The team here really understands hospitality. The food was largely excellent and the overall experience was enjoyable. My only note would be that my steak came out medium when I had asked for rare. It still tasted great, so full credit to the kitchen for the seasoning and quality of the cut, just not quite cooked to the temperature I requested. Would happily return and give it another go.

We had a wonderful time with my girlfriend. The food is delicious - every item on the menu that we ordered was very special. Staff members went out of their way to make sure that our stay was very pleasant. I wanted to extend special thanks to Terry, who ensured that we were served very well. Would surely come back.

I had a nice dinner at Williams Farmhouse. The atmosphere is warm and cozy and has a very nice, rustic vibe that makes you feel right at home. For food, I started with the steak tartare, which was good, followed by the steak for the main course, both were cooked as I wished for and very flavorful. For dessert, I had a sweet treat that was tasty, though just a little too sweet for my personal preference. I’m really curious about their Sunday Roast, as the menu looks great, so I might be coming back to try that next time.

We went on Valentines day. 3 stars mainly due to service. Food is good quality though a little overpriced, and the space has country chic charm. Good wine list with a diverse range of pricing. The service was slow, there were only two staff, it took time to be seated, and to give our order. Our starter and main were served together. It was difficult to get the waiter's attention and it took long to order additional items, by then our meal was finished. The waiter seemed stressed, because the place was understaffed. The manager was knowledgeable with wine and helpful. Once wine and water was delivered to the table, no one came to refill our glasses so we had to serve ourselves. I hope they will match the quality of their food and the atmosphere with a better level of service, because without it all the rest about this place is done a disservice. I'd go again if they hopefully improve their service

10/10! Absolutely spectacular Sunday roast. Fresh ingredients, genuine flavours, and a truly classic British atmosphere. The tender meat was perfectly cooked (oh, the Scotch eggs!), the salmon was spot on, and the vegetables were beautifully balanced, every plate felt thoughtfully done. An all-round fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be back!
