Ceintuur Theater

All-day rotisserie inside a restored 1921 cinema
Ceintuur Theater occupies the former Ceintuur Bioscoop, a De Pijp cinema that first opened its doors in 1913 and was rebuilt in 1921. Much of the original theatre detailing is still in place, ornate ceilings included. Dinner here comes with a bit of local history built in.
The building now houses a rotisserie, spit-roasted chicken and sides from late morning until midnight.

This is your sign to book a table here✨ We had an amazing girls' night here, but this place is also perfect for a date night. The best part is the atmosphere inside and the friendly staff!

We had such a lovely evening here, and Noah was honestly wonderful! He was so warm, kind and accommodating and genuinely went above and beyond to make our experience special. We really wanted to try bitterballen and, even though it wasn’t on the menu, they kindly made some especially for us. Noah also brought us hot sauce to try, took the time to chat with us about our trip and even treated me to a mint tea on the house. Lauren, our server, was also lovely and attentive. The drinks were great and I especially loved the roasted potatoes and accompanying sauce. The chicken was a little too salty for my taste, but the warmth and hospitality more than made our evening. Thank you, Noah - you really made our visit memorable! ❤️

Everything is perfect here! Excellent reception; you feel welcome immediately. There is a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, nice music, delicious food, fair prices, and all of this in a beautiful building. Professionals are at work here, and they visibly enjoy what they do. Hospitality as it should be—compliments! We will definitely be back.
