We come here very often because it's simply a truly great spot, with a wonderful terrace under old trees. With the service, you need a bit of luck. There are staff who are really on top of things and have everything under control, but we've also experienced the complete opposite here. The food is consistently good to very good, though it was clearly better before the change of ownership. Still, a mild evening midweek here is really worth recommending, even if it's just for a glass of wine and a few snacks.

This is a really beautiful terrace in Amsterdam, the setting is really nice, I especially like how they build seating around the massive trees. It is cozy and a great atmosphere. Despite many reviews about less than impressive service, we found it to be the opposite. The service was great, we were seated and within 5 mins we had someone asking for our order, we said we needed a couple minutes, which usually in this city results in a 10 minute wait to get a server again, our server returned as soon as we put the menu down. They were very attentive for the whole evening, very friendly as well. The food, in my opinion was a bit typical for amsterdam, good enough but priced in a way that you are paying a premium and seemingly for the atmosphere. The steak frites, it seemed probably that the steak was sous vide and seared, which is ok, but the sear was quite unimpressive and a large grey ring. It tasted great but texture couldve been improved with a hotter sear. The lamb kofta again tasted great, but I believe they were served a bit undercooked, and the tzatziki missed the freshness that you hope for. The Tuna Civeche again tasted great, but the tuna wouldve been better if it was much colder. I think with a bit more effort the food could be great. Wine recommendations were good and I liked that they offer the lighter reds chilled or room temp. Anyways, this is definitely somewhere I would bring visiting friends or family!

Great terrace in the heart of amsterdam. The lady who served us was just so lovely: she was patient, helpful and funny! She gave great recommendations. The appetisers were lovely, the strawberry cazpacho was refreshing and something different and the asparagus really nice but maybe a bit too salty to my taste. The atmosphere is just wonderful under the trees in the sun. Great experience.

An absolute gem! We had a beautiful spot on the terrace right by the canals; you really couldn't ask for a better location. On top of that, the cocktails were great and the food was delicious. Highly recommended!👌🏻
