Ceremonial matcha, whisked to order, right on the Markt

The Matcha Society calls its Markt address TMS 3.0, the Sanctuary of Rituals. It's the third room after the original on Nieuwstraat and a second in Utrecht, and the brand treats this one as the real deal.

Every cup is Japanese matcha whisked to order, hot or iced, with ceremonial grade topping the list. There's a short tea menu and something sweet on the side. It's a to go counter with long hours, open until half past eight on Thursdays.

Great matcha options, many of which can be made vegan, including the soft serve! Only docking 1 star due to it being overpriced and having no seating

Execellent service and aesthetic shop✨️ ... but the matcha itself was a bit overrated, I was trying out the strawberry one with extra vanilla syrup against the bitterness of the matcha but it didn't match the price (€8) or the hype. If you really love matcha go ahead but if you're just trying it out, I would recommend something else.

Lovely ambience, no queue (was expecting one), clean deco. One of the best strawberry matcha I've tasted. Not too sweet, just right. The matcha is of great quality - bold and strong. Too bad my MasterCard card payment was unable to go through so I had to pay by cash (later on bought a jacket in Newyorker, no issue with card). But I must say pricing is quite expensive for me, my priciest matcha to date😆 but the taste makes up for it, so all good 👍 Might come again to try the rose matcha..looks interesting 🤔
