Tens of thousands of secondhand records, right on the water
Offbeat Records spent years crammed into a basement before shutting it and reopening a few weeks later at Zaagmolenkade 208, right on the water in Oude Noorden. The new room holds tens of thousands of records, the entire reason for the move.
Nothing here is new pressings, all secondhand. Buying runs from 1960s jazz and 1970s soul and disco through to 1980s wave and 1990s dance. The shop sits in the Zwaanshalskwartier, the strip of independent shops and cafes along the Rotte. Open Wednesday to Sunday.
Good to know
- Open Wednesday to Sunday from 10.30; closed Monday and Tuesday.
- The Zwaanshals and its independents run on from here if you want to make an afternoon of it.

Walked in for Fleetwood Mac, left with a 1973 Bulgarian jazz record and an identity crisis. 10/10.
