Utrecht's first Brazilian grill, on the Lange Nieuwstraat
Picanha, chicken hearts off the grill and caipirinhas that arrive properly cold. Odd for a student city this size, but until Carioca opened, Utrecht had no Brazilian restaurant at all.
The room is small and the grill does most of the talking. Closed Mondays, and worth booking at the weekend rather than chancing it.

I just love everything about this. First of all the owner Maria Victoria. She is a darling and a Carioca. The restaurant is very beautiful with a lot of care for detail. I enjoyed a delicious lunch - a beef dish and the Pao’s with yummy cheese sauce and finished with an espresso and a super rich and dense flan. I’ll be coming back to taste everything on the menu.

Had an amazing experience here with friends. The staff were incredibly kind and the food was delicious. Highly recommend if you are looking for Brazilian food in Utrecht. 10/10
