Beer brewed on site, served in a Viking hall by the fjord

Ægir has brewed its own beer in Flåm for nearly twenty years, and the pub looks the part: a Norse hall behind heavy wooden doors at the harbour, a nine-metre fireplace, and décor pulled from mythology. The signature order is the Ægir Viking Plank, five courses on a wooden board matched with five house beers.

The kitchen sticks to local, short-travelled ingredients and Viking-inspired dishes, with a seasonal à la carte menu next to the plank. Outside at the harbour, the Ølhage beer garden serves simpler food with a view of the fjord.
