Fine dining built around fire

Emilies ELD centers its kitchen on live flame, the "eld" in the name, with much of the menu cooked over open fire in full view of the room. The set menu shifts with the season and whatever the region hands over that week.

The room seats only a handful, so dinner plays out more like a small gathering than a restaurant service. It's become one of Trondheim's more personal high-end tables.

came in without a reservation but they managed to seat me. i had the lutefisk menu. first time to Norway and loved it. the easiest was very attentive and helpful.

This is probably the finest dining place we've tried in Norway: excellent cuisine with quality products and well presented, lovely service with a nice personal touch. The place is popular, I strongly recommend to book in advance. Also, a bit noisy.

We enjoyed the food a lot. Super lovely staff, very attentive. Made good recommendations too. I tried the cocktail of the week which was a great mixture of raspberry, apple and vodka. Delicious crayfish. Dishes nicely prepared and crafted and lovely to look at. For five dishes (2x starters, 2x mains, 1x dessert) and three drinks (1x cocktail, 2x wines) we paid around 2,200 kr in total. Which is totally justified and fair for what you get. 100 % recommend this gorgeous restaurant.

Very good location in the senter of Trondheim. Service, atmosphere and food are quite good and can recommend 👌 this place for dinner with friends, family or for business 😀

Great service by lovely and attentive staff, calm and beautiful atmosphere and decorations. The food is super, and we had a perfect 3 course dinner (scallops, entrecôte, gateu marcel) with wine and drinks this time. I really like how much the staff did to make us feel comfortable and taken care of. Would also compliment the cleanliness on the bathrooms and that they give the little extra by offering some necessities/toiletries for women in the womens bathroom. One of my favorite restaurants in Trondheim due to the whole experience and the great staff.
