Trondheim's biggest secondhand shop, with a lamp workshop and coffee bar built in

Teak sideboards, Norwegian glass, industrial shelving, boxes of odd crockery. The stock at Transit comes mostly from estate clearances, so the room on Fjordgata changes by the week. Owners Leite and Harang run three things under one roof: the secondhand floor, a workshop rewiring old lamps, and a coffee bar tucked between the furniture.

The space doubled when they moved in, and turnover is meant to follow. A wine bar is planned for 2026. Fjordgata sits along the old canal side of Midtbyen, five minutes from Solsiden.

Good to know

• Open every day from 11:00, which is unusual for a secondhand shop in Norway.
• They handle estate clearances (dødsbo) and take deliveries of unwanted furniture, worth knowing if you live here.
