Skip the beige international-hotel look. nhow's Lima debut goes color-gradient walls that nod to Rainbow Mountain, textile patterns blown up to wall scale, and a rooftop with painted ceilings quoting the yunza carnival dance.

This is Minor Hotels' first Peru property and nhow's first landing in the Americas. There's a rooftop pool and bar, a restaurant built on Peruvian produce, and enough meeting rooms to double as a business hotel on weekdays. Book high. The upper floors clear the low Miraflores skyline.

Good to know

• The rooftop is the reason to come even if you are not staying: pool, bar and colour-blocked ceilings inspired by the yunza.
• It sits one block from Parque Kennedy, so you can walk to most of central Miraflores.
