El Adriano Café Bar

Coffee by day, pisco cocktails by night, right on the plaza

El Adriano runs two businesses out of one building across from the Plaza de Armas. Mornings mean specialty coffee and brunch, the club sandwich is the thing to order. Ask for a seat upstairs, it catches a partial sunset view over Callao street.

By night the same room turns into a cocktail bar built around pisco and author drinks, not a generic menu. The kitchen stays open into the late taberna hours on Friday and Saturday.

A lovely little café right on the Plaza de Armas with a very friendly and welcoming staff. The coffee was excellent, and the cinnamon roll was absolutely delicious—fresh, soft, and full of flavor. One of the most unique touches is that guests can leave their mark by signing one of the tiles. Definitely a great place to relax, enjoy a good coffee, and take a break while exploring the city. Highly recommended!

We popped in for a coffee, but after ordering our flat whites was tempted by the cookies. The coffees were amazing and the cookie absolutely delicious. We enjoyed it so much we returned the next day. The gentleman that served us was very passionate about his craft and full of life, which was great to see. I would definitely recommend El Adriano’s if you love coffee!

Excellent breakfast and cappuccino. It did open just before 8 AM.

This place was amazing! We really enjoyed the waffle with fruit and the San Jose sandwhich. The best sandwhich and waffle we had since we have been in Peru for 4 weeks! The juices were also very refreshing, especially with the heat. Highly recommend. Please be prepared with some Spanish vocabulary so that you can communicate more easily with the staff :)
