Fresh-baked mornings on Aguirre before the case runs out

Scratch is a bakery first, cafe second, on the stretch of Aguirre between Legazpi and San Lorenzo. Close enough to the offices that the morning crowd walks over, and it shows in how fast the pastry case moves.

Bakery-cafes have taken over Makati, but the ones that stick are the ones baking on site. Get there early. By mid-afternoon here, the case is thin.
