A hi-fi listening room hidden inside La Grieta

Vinyl on a serious sound system, poured into cocktails and a quiet dining room. El Más Allá is one of Puerto Rico's first hi-fi bars, built for people who actually want to hear the music, not shout over it.

DJ sets start at 9pm, Thursday to Monday. Get there early if you want the system at conversation volume instead of full crowd noise.

If you’re reading this — make the reservation. Go. The food, the atmosphere, the music, the service - 15/10. We ordered most of the menu being a group of 5 and can recommend it all, truly. Tiradito was my favorite but none were disappointing - dreaming of this meal.

A truly unforgettable and unique experience I never would have thought it would be! The privacy and intimate setting made me feel like I was somewhere completely different. Every single dish was designed to perfection and mind-blowing with flavor, texture, and an amazing twist on Puerto Rican flavor and taste palettes. El Mas Alla was unforgettable and under rated and I cannot wait to come back every time I come to the island. Thank you for the perfect experience and dinner.

What a wonderful experience: the bartender, the server, the ambient vinyl playing in the background. Each menu item was thoroughly explained and clearly crafted with intentionality and creativity. we had the croquettes the turnovers, the buratta salad, steak tartare, picanha carpaccio but by far the best was the tiradito. the leche de tigre was plate-lick-able!! UPDATE: El Más Allá seriously is beyond the beyond! I love this intimate space- only 6 tables in the dining room- with incredible sound systems to play vinyl & DJ sets in the highest quality. The food is incredible, I always get the tiradito but the pluma iberico is my new favorite! We also really like the special- fried pieces of tender red snapper with marinated onions and corn puffs. The drinks are also super creative and good. After a few rounds, we even asked the bartender for her own creation & it blew us away!

Speakeasy redefined. Beautiful intimate setting. One of the best high fidelity sound systems in the world. Not to mention perfectly made cocktails and tasty food. Head mixologists, Gabriel, and Gaby will be happy to guide you through their signature cocktails. They will also make something special just for you. Virgin cocktails if that is your thing. Excellent food. The menu has something for every taste. Ask Angel for recommendations. He will guide you through it all and make you feel as a VIP. Reservations are a must. You get 2 hours to indulge. There is a second bar on the second floor you are welcome to visit afterwards. Check if the table next to the bar is available….

What can I say about El Más Allá? These people are absolute wizards. The food is pure magic — every dish was packed with flavor, creativity, and attention to detail. You can tell there is real passion behind everything they serve. The drinks were on another level as well; whoever is behind the bar is a complete genius. Every cocktail felt unique, balanced, and perfectly crafted. Overall, this was hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in San Juan. The atmosphere, service, food, and drinks all came together perfectly. I already can’t wait to come back and see what they create next. Highly recommended!
