Two eggs any style over garlic-and-herb Greek yogurt. That's Huevos Club, the whole reason to sit down at this Avenida Winston Churchill café. Everything else on the short menu backs it up, sweet or savory, plus fresh juices.

The $12 lunch specials make it one of the cheaper sit-down lunches in this part of San Juan. It shuts at 4pm, so plan mornings or early afternoon, not dinner.

New Coffee shop Winston Churchill Ave. This tiny business opened not too long ago and I can see it being my go-to stop for delicious coffee and a snack or even lunch. I enjoyed their 8oz latte. It was a bit bitter but still with enough flavor to not require adding sugar. At the same time, I had to order their Smash Club — a double meat, double cheese smash burger that took me by surprise with how good it was. It’s not common to see a coffee shop doing Smash Burgers so safe to say, this one hit the spot; did I mention fries were included and they were perfectly salted and crunchy. Finally, Coffee Club also has rotating lunch specials. I tried their Pollo Guisado with white rice and pink beans. Another great, and decently priced meal. The only “issue” here is the parking, but i recognize this is an ongoing situation for all businesses in this iconic area.
