Eden Cafe opened at the end of April 2025, according to its Facebook page. It's built for take-away, not sit-down dining. Doors open at 6:30am and stay open until 12:30am, seven days a week, longer than almost anywhere else on the street.

The menu mixes traditional Rwandan dishes with the international snacks a university crowd wants. Iced tea is the one item the page keeps coming back to. Eden sits a few doors from Coeur Cafe on Rue Rwamamba, which has turned into Huye's closest thing to a cafe strip.

  Nice coffee place in Huye. They also sell coffee beans to take home, but you need to order them a day before. We did not have food, so I can't say anything about that.

  Food (King Hamburger) was quite tasty and very big. But I had to wait for almost an hour.

  They sell juices, shakes and smoothie’s. And in addition also some snacks. Sort of an alternative natural products based place. No alcohol is served. I tried the rolex for 2500 rwf. Didn’t like the taste and meat to be searched for under a microscope. Went back a second time and the rolex came out better. No overdose of onion this time and more meat.
