Ilea Cafe is hands down the best cafe in Dakar! The food is always cooked fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully prepared. Every visit feels special because the quality is consistently excellent. The staff are incredibly professional, friendly, and attentive, making the whole experience even better. You can really tell they care about both the food and their customers. Highly recommend Elea Cafe for anyone looking for amazing fresh food and outstanding service!

I loved eating at ILEA Café during my 7 nights in Senegal. It was amazing. The atmosphere was great. The staff was very friendly and attentive to my needs. Every food item was fresh and delicious. They even recommended things that were not officially on the menu and they were great also. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside. There is even a private room available to accommodate larger parties or business meetings. I highly recommend eating here and will definitely come back every time I'm in Senegal. It was a pleasure 😀

Absolutely loved ILEA Cafe!! The owners were kind enough to host my university program in for a welcoming event at the cafe as we traveled to Senegal, and we had the most amazing brunch and drinks. The owners were kind and welcoming to us during our time in Dakar. They took time out of their busy schedules to talk to each of the students and professor in our program to ensure we were having the best time during our travels in Senegal. It’s truly inspiring to see how far this business has come, and I’m excited to see their success thrive in the future. I highly recommend for everyone to stop by this lovely cafe! 💞

I had the pleasure of eating here with my study abroad program and it was such a fun time! ILEA had custom menus with my school’s name which contributed to the warm welcome. I enjoyed the Oh My Gaufre Brunch with a Mango Matcha with Oat Milk. The brunch was so good and was similar to my comfort food of Chicken & Waffles back at home. I was also able to meet the owners who welcomed my program and have such an enriching conversation about life transitions, professional development, and family. After the lunch and discussion, my program and I stayed at the cafe to watch Senegal win the semifinals. The experience celebrating such a win at ILEA Cafe will be unforgettable. My family had such a wonderful time at Ilea Café. The food was excellent across the board, the yassa poulet was flavorful and tender, the fish fatayas were perfectly crisp and delicious, and we really enjoyed the coffees and cookies to finish things off. As good as the food was, what really stood out was the hospitality. The owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and their warmth made the whole experience even more special. It felt less like dining out and more like being hosted by friends who genuinely care. Ilea Café is the kind of place you want to return to, not just for the food but for the atmosphere and the people behind it. Highly recommended if you’re in Dakar.
