Croissants and tea by day, restaurant by night in Plateau

Go for the croissants and viennoiserie, stay because the whole thing quietly turned into a restaurant. L'Avenue Dakar started as a bakery and tea room on the corner of Avenue Bourguiba and Allées Seydou Nourou Tall, calling itself Dakar's new gathering spot for anyone with a sweet tooth.

Within months a coffee-shop and restaurant side grew alongside the bakery, adding brunch and evening service. It's one of several bakery-café hybrids that landed across Dakar in 2025, all chasing the same breakfast-pastry crowd.
