800-year-old Andong soju, reworked into cocktails

Zanzan sits next to Myeongin Andong Soju, the distillery built around Park Jae-seo, one of Korea's officially designated master distillers of the region's centuries-old soju tradition. Instead of pouring it straight, the bar turns it into cocktails: the Sot, named for the traditional still and served in a vessel shaped to match, and a celadon-soju highball.

The building is styled after a traditional seowon academy near Andong Station. KBS's neighborhood-walk show "동네 한 바퀴" has filmed here, and the bar's soju was chosen as an official APEC 2025 Korea gift item.

Good to know

• Open 19:00-24:00, later on Friday and Saturday.
• Order the Sot cocktail, served in a vessel shaped like the traditional soju still.
