Eyal Shani's pita empire lands in Da'an
Chef Eyal Shani built his name on one dish: whole roasted cauliflower, torched and served like a trophy. It made the jump from Paris and New York to a quiet Dongfeng Street lane, and it still steals the table.
Lunch runs fast with eight or nine pita builds. Dinner slows down into the full Mediterranean spread, loud and paper-wrapped, exactly the mess Da'an didn't know it needed.

The falafel and tatami are alone enough to convince me to visit the second time. If you haven’t tried these, you are definitely missing out. The vibe is quite good, candle-lit tables with attentive staff. Minnie aka heart was quite attentive and kind enough to explain the menu and their specialties. She made the overall experience quite memorable so shoutout to her Overall a terrific experience, highly recommend

An amazing gem in Taipei! The service was outstanding, and the Israeli and Middle Eastern cuisine served here is truly top-notch. Every dish is beautifully executed and elevates these traditional flavors to a whole new level. The chef is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. Without a doubt, this is one of the best places to eat in Taipei. Highly recommended!

Food and service was out of this world! And the portion sizes were actually quite good while also being very share focused. We had the dishes in the photo along with the Wagyu Tri-tip, which was so good I forgot to photograph it haha~
