A century-old kopi house still pouring strong

Chinatown's marble tables have seen a century of coffee drinkers, and Eiah Sae still brews the old way: strong local coffee filtered through a cloth sock, poured thick and sweet over condensed milk.

Order a glass with toast or a soft-boiled egg and pull up a chair at the worn marble tables. This isn't a themed revival, it's a working relic of an older Bangkok, and it opens early.

Places like this are what I am travelling for. They serve coffee brewed the traditional way, strong and black just how we like it. The option of milk is available. Hot or iced. It’s full of regulars who I imagine have been going for years. I hope Eiah Sae stays open for many generations to come. All the locals went out of their way to make us tourists feel at ease here which was lovely.

Love this coffeeshop with a 120 years tradition. Just coffee and toast and it can be so satisfying. They even have real almond drink hot or cold, as compared to the usual powered ones. We ordered the duo flavoured toast but I personally prefer the sugar butter one instead of the coconut custard. Deco is old school too with a strong retro feel. People tend to be very friendly. In our short meal here, we spoke to 2 Thai men here. One of whom is retired and have patronised this coffee joint for the past 50 years. He reads Thai, English and Chinese papers here with his breakfast! ❤️

A charming old coffee shop in the heart of Chinatown. We enjoyed the cold milk drinks and the macha toast. The service was good and friendly.

Ordered the kaya (custard) and matcha condense milk! Kaya flavour was good but the bread was not crispy at all and a lil dry. 45 baht for 2~

Nice retro vibe here (really looks looks like an old shop without a doubt. There are many elderly people smoking, reading their papers and chatting with one another while enjoying their breakfast. I really like the toast especially the margarine and sugar one, not the kaya one (tastes good but I am from Southeast Asia and had many great kaya before). Iced milk tea is delicious too without being overwhelmingly sweet.
