Funafuti's only weekend bar, open till 5am on Fridays

Where does an entire atoll go out? Here. Matagigali Bar sits in Vaiaku, close enough to the airstrip that it becomes the after-hours spot on the two nights a week Funafuti actually goes out. Doors open around 7pm on Friday and can run until 5am.

There's no real bar scene beyond this one. Tuvalu's nightlife runs more on porch bulbs and motorbikes than neon, so Matagigali ends up being the default. It matters less for the drinks list and more for the fact that it's open when nothing else is.
