Joanne Chang's bakery opens on Tremont Street.

Flour has been expanding across Boston since Joanne Chang opened the first shop in the South End in 2000, and the Mission Hill location opened in January 2026, directly across from Flann O'Brien's. Sticky buns, sandwiches, the usual lineup.

The morning queue here runs shorter than at the Back Bay or Seaport shops. Worth the stop for the sticky bun alone.
