French-inflected Japanese izakaya on the waterfront.

Mai opened on Northern Avenue in 2025 as an izakaya with a French accent, which mostly shows up in the sauces and the wine list. Skewers and small plates otherwise.

Waterfront seats are the draw in summer and the reason the room is quiet in February. Book the terrace or do not bother in warm weather.
