A scrappy comedy club, back with a full bar
Denver Comedy Underground is back on 22nd Street in Five Points, and this time there's a full bar, something the old space never had. It sits between California and Welton, a short walk from the neighborhood's newer restaurant openings.
Expect a steady lineup of local and touring stand-up rather than the polished big-room feel of Denver's larger clubs. Five Points keeps adding cultural spots alongside its restaurant boom, and this one gives you a reason to go out that isn't just another dinner reservation.

Denver Comedy Underground is always a good time. You walk in, get free (small) pieces of pizza, and get to laugh your butt off listening to local stand up artists do their thing. They have a surprisingly verbose drink selection and the guys behind the bar are on it. Pretty reasonable prices for drinks and snack too (at least for Denver). I've been multiple times and not only is it never boring, it's never the same. Big fan, great choice if you're looking for something to do on a night out.

Great place all around. The openers are as hilarious as the headliners and the crowd always has good energy. The drink options are solid too, love how easy it is to order from your seat and get drinks quickly!

What a night! The entire lineup last night was hysterical from start to finish — the MC set the perfect tone and every opener brought their A-game. It’s rare to see that level of consistency across a whole show. Beyond the comedy, the staff was fantastic — attentive and friendly all night. Huge bonus points for the free pizza and drink offerings, which made the whole experience feel even more special. The intimate venue setup made every seat feel like a great seat and gave the show a really personal, up-close energy. Already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a genuinely great night of live comedy in Denver.

I’ve been going here for a long time and highly recommend! You’ll find great comedy here for a great price! You won’t regret bringing your friends here because they don’t have comedians here that will make you cringe by “punching down.” They seem to attract lovely comics :) Shout out to Sammy who did an awesome job hosting the last show I saw! She was awesome :)

Went for a show headlined by Adam Gilbert, who himself is absolutely hilarious. The other four opening acts including the host were also very funny. The venue itself is cozy where the entire audience has a close enough view of the stage to be seen by the performers and give a sense of hanging out with whoever's on stage. There's a bar in the back with all the drinks you need, and they have small tables amongst the audience with QR codes to order on your phone from. Shoutout Dave the manager/owner(?) for also cultivating a great experience for us. Classic spot for a wonderful comedy experience
