Seafood-forward date night on Walnut Street

The cocktail list is as much the draw here as the seafood-forward menu, and the room leans into it: low light, a compact bar, plates built for sharing between rounds. It changes often enough that a second visit won't repeat the first.

BearLeek shares its building with Heretík upstairs, two different kitchens under one roof. It's a short walk from most of RiNo's other new openings, easy to fold into a night that starts or ends elsewhere on the same stretch.

Fun concept with sexy vibes and we really enjoyed sitting at the chef's counter. It was fun getting to interact with the chefs and see all the care they put into each dish. Service was top notch. We had the burrata, tuna crudo (pictured), crab tagliatelle, and pork schnitzel. The reviews don't lie - the tuna crudo was absolutely the standout dish - it was a fun roller coaster of amazing flavors and textures. The crab tagliatelle was good, but I don't think I'd get it again. And the pork schnitzel was the least impressive flavor-wise. (Also it was huge - we ordered too much food, but were excited to try something from each section of the menu!) I'm excited to try BearLeek again for happy hour.

Absolutely phenomenal experience. We sat at the chefs counter and were served by Hunter. He was engaging and very knowledgeable about the food, their suppliers, and just a great person to chat with. The music was a nice lo-fi and pop mix, with ambient lighting setting the tone. The meal itself was fabulous. We ordered everything in the happy hour menu as well as a few dishes off the main menu. 10/10 would go again to try some other dishes before they change the menu in autumn!

Finally popped into BearLeek, and it didn't disappoint. BearLeek presents a dark yet warm ambiance upon arriving at the entrance of the restaurant after walking downstairs through the main entrance. While food options are limited, rest assured it's because the team knows what they're doing and have put together some incredibly unique, delicious ingredient pairings. We explored the Dinner #5 menu, and chose to skip the "Sharing is Caring" entrees in favor of doing more small plates so we could try more food. We ordered the Bread & ButterBear (and Westword isn't lying, these rolls are unreal), Fried Artichoke Hearts, Tuna Crudo, Corn Ravioli, French Onion Tartlet, and Carolina Gold Rice Pudding. My favorites were the Corn Ravioli (fresh pasta, and an absolutely delicious flavor profile) and the Tuna Crudo (the cherries paired with tuna and ricotta was *chef's kiss*). All food items from the sections we ordered from felt reasonably priced. And last but certainly not least, the service is top-notch. If you find yourself sitting in Emily's section for the evening, consider it your lucky day. She guided us through the whole experience and made us feel well taken care of the entire dinner. BearLeek seems suitable for various party sizes, but felt especially great for a date night (party of 2). Trust your server on how many plates to order!

I loved it. I want to go back and try the flan. This is the best burger I had in Colorado. I will Go back for it too. Lucinda, thank you for smiling and being such an attentive server.

The lighting in this place is phenomenal and my favorite thing about the experience! The drinks and vibe were on point, the food was not. The crudo was chewy and tasted fishy to the point of not really fresh which set the tone for the dining experience. I wantedddd to love it so deeply but alas, left disappointed. There was an aroma upon arrival that was not food, it was pronounced and distracting. I'm not sure if this is consistent but it was hard to ignore. Service was good - I really wanted to freak out about how amazing this spot was but the food was just disappointing overall
