Bamboo-root broth on Denver's Vietnamese strip
The broth here takes most of a day to build, and it shows. Rễ Tre keeps its menu tight, leaning on broths and grilled dishes instead of chasing every regional style at once.
It sits on Federal Boulevard, a stretch that's fed Denver's Vietnamese community for decades. Going up against restaurants that have spent twenty years perfecting one dish is no small thing, and Rễ Tre already looks steady doing it.

Re Tre makes a quiet statement about authenticity, resilience, and Vietnamese heritage. I’ve eaten there under its former name and was glad to see it return. The atmosphere feels elevated but the lamps could use a good dusting. The service was punctual, attentive, and friendly. The food was very good, but I compare it to Dan Da which is 5 stars in my book. I feel like Re Tre is a bit more savory with its food preparation than Dan Da, which has a touch of sweetness to it. The bottom line is Re Tre is a solid choice for Vietnamese cuisine and you’ll have a very good meal.

I highly recommend Re Tre on Federal Boulevard! The new space is beautiful—modern, stylish, and a great spot to enjoy a meal and cocktails. The service was warm, friendly, and attentive from start to finish. The crispy fried tofu is to die for! We also loved the papaya salad with pork and shrimp, chilled spring rolls, and the absolutely lip-smacking clay pot chicken. I already can't wait to go back and try the fish dishes and crab. A special thank you to Thao Nguyen for taking the time to sit with us and catch up—it made the evening even more memorable. Our group of three had a wonderful time. Great food, great cocktails, great atmosphere, and genuine hospitality. We'll definitely be back!

This was my first visit here and it was impressive!!! Atnosphere, sevi e and the food! Most impressive part was the food- amazing tastes and flavors, fresh veg sides, amazing accompanying sides such as pickled garlic and peppers. The whole menu looks amazing and I wish I had a second stomach so I could eat more!!! Second to the food, bit not far behind was the service. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Family owned and really nice. This restaurant will DEFINITELY be on the favorites list!!!

Great customer service as usual. As they just recently opened expect it to be busy. The food quality is just as similar as it was back then if not very similar to Dan Da. The presentation is just different but overall the food was delicious. Great Vietnamese food.

It was certainly a big loss for the Denver food scene when the famed New Saigon Vietnamese Restaurant closed a few years ago. Despite the Nguyễn sisters opening Dan Da and Banh & Butter in Aurora to fill the void, still felt the loss of the many one of the kind Vietnamese specialty dishes every time driving by South Federal. Therefore, it was more than glad to find out the Nguyễn sisters just opened Rễ Tre at the former New Saigon location, bringing back the many moreish dishes, as well as pastries from Banh & Butter and specialty cocktails in a more modern and comfortable setting. As before, the varieties and selections on the menu always amazed me. Ordered the roasted duck soup with fresh rice noodles, pork and shrimp spring rolls and Vietnamese coffee for a quick lunch. Needless to say, it brought back the memory of the authentic and unforgettable taste of New Saigon. Also, the ambience and service were impeccable. Rễ Tre is right by New Saigon Bakery and Deli at South Federal and Exposition. There was plenty of parking.
