A 250-seat courtyard with what may be Miami's smallest cocktail bar
Upper Eastside Hangout reopened a long-empty bar site on NE 79th Street in June 2026 as an open-air courtyard: shade sails, string lights, picnic tables, lawn games, LED screens and food vendors around the edge. The cocktail bar inside is barely bigger than a shed.
Prices are set for the neighbourhood rather than for visitors. Open Tuesday to Sunday, 2pm to 1am.

It is a good hang. I think they did a great job. Putting together a place, you can go. And just relax, have some good food and just take a load off for a little while. I enjoy all of the food options but particularly the hand pulled noodles are my favorite. Im not a big drinker, but their cocktail menu was refreshing and relaxed.

Food is great and in general the ambiance and the space and design unfortunately I had a bad experience at the bar! I kept getting ignored by the bar tender which refused to help until she was asked by her manager. Some of my female friends got the same off putting vibe which is unfortunate! Otherwise the rest of the staff and food were really wonderful

This place is amazing, welcoming and perfect for hanging out with family and friends. The food and drinks are delicious, with great variety and quick service. Watching live soccer matches here creates an exciting and lively atmosphere.
