Filipino street food inside the 1800 Lucky food hall

Kalye Eats took a counter inside 1800 Lucky in June 2026, run by the family behind Lutong Pinoy in Pembroke Pines, a South Florida Filipino fixture for more than a decade. The menu is street food rather than restaurant food: barbecue skewers, sisig bowls, crispy lumpia, halo-halo for after.

Eating in a food hall means you can build a table out of several kitchens, but this is the stall worth queueing at twice, once for the skewers, once for the shaved ice.

The chefs were super nice! I ate pancit and plantain lumpia, me and my mom loved it! Trying the halo halo next for sure.

Compliments to the chef! He put so much care into making the dishes and they came out PERFECT. I tried the Manila hot dog w/ the ube bun and, of course, the sisig bowl w/ garlic rice. AMAZING!! The ube bun was a *stand out.* The sandwich had really good sauces similar to BBQ and the hot dog was high quality and cured perfectly. It was my favorite!! You can’t go wrong with a sisig bowl, but this one was high end — the egg was cooked perfectly and the seasonings were perfectly balanced; even the dressing on the salad was amazing.

Very nice staff, and I wanted them to be good, I want them to succeed. But garlic rice served was ice cold, pork was all fat and grissle no meat. Lumpia was solid, pancit was bland.

We went to Miami yesterday. We stopped at the Salvation Army and then we were gonna walk to talking tacos. Well, thank goodness we found this place. It was delicious!!!! I had glass noodles before and I did not like them. This was just delicious food especially my daughter that is vegan and very picky. Loved it. We got food to goThe lady that took our order was a sweetheart offered us water.

If you like chef Darren’s other restaurants you’ll love this one. A menu designed for Wynwood Miami including ube bun sandwiches, bbq/ chicken skewers, halo halo and more !! 🔥🔥🇵🇭🇵🇭 If you want to introduce someone to Filipino cuisine, KALYE Eats is definitely worth visiting. There is a private karaoke room you can book as well located inside if you want to sing after eating the good food !! Highly recommended !!
