Butterlamp opened on Chapel Avenue in August 2024 doing two things in one small room: baking bread and pouring wine. The switch happens in the afternoon and the crowd changes with it.
It anchored the corner before Cone-cept and The Yellow Table moved into the same building. The block is worth the walk on its own now.

It feels impossible to put in writing how special Butterlamp is. Just walking up feels like you’re entering a cozy cottage dream! The drink selection is exciting, each food option is delicious, and every team member is incredible. The OG bread and butter is timeless and perfect, and be sure to leave room for what truly is the best chocolate chip cookie ever!

I really love Butterlamp. I'll stop in for any type of visit and they always deliver: date night feeling fancy, solo wine and dessert with a craft project or a book, friends in from out of town, grabbing a loaf of bread for the next day. Always perfect, alway such a great vibe. Their food is delicious and original, their wines are great and such a fun sassy list. They're always friendly, busy but never unavailable. It really feels like the place to go anytime you want just a straight up nice evening.

This is THE best restaurant in Nashville. You will not find somewhere better. Unbelievable wine selection, the best bread you have ever had and the desserts are to die for. This place and their food live rent free in my head 🤍

The bread was delicious!!! Wine selection is enormous. The deviled eggs in a basket were interesting. My husband said the BEST he’s ever had! Nice atmosphere. Just didn’t love ordering at the bar and paying first. Overall, such a cool spot!

This is such a chill spot! Nice outdoor seating area for an evening. We got the cultured cheese plate with warmed bread, olives, and fresh cheese nduja with peaches. All paired with a nice white Bodega wine. It was amazing! Highly recommend!
