Vietnamese coffee and bánh mì in a Germantown courtyard
The old Buds & Brews space turned into a Vietnamese courtyard in June 2026, bamboo and stacked books where the beer taps used to sit. Em & Me is the first Vietnamese cafe Germantown has had to itself. Order bánh mì, bun noodle bowls and spring rolls, then a Vietnamese coffee strong enough to keep you up past dinner.
The matcha latte is the safer order if you can't handle that much condensed milk before noon. Outdoor seating fills first on weekends.

This a great place to grab a bite or a drink or both with friends! The atmosphere is fun and welcoming and the food is fantastic. Highly recommend the cabbage chicken salad and fish bites. Also, the the bathroom offers a visually pleasing tour of Vietnam for a meditative visit. The decor includes a lot of real plants and provides a relaxing, immersive experience. There are even games available for your amusement. Go check it out for yourselves. You won't regret it!

THEY VALIDATE PARKING I came in on my lunch break and tried the vermicelli noodles with pork and a rainbow tea drink. Everything is fresh and rich. The place is so cute. Ordering and paying is done through QR codes which doesn’t leave much for a “service” review but my order came out lightning fast. I am definitely coming back to try both the egg coffee and the tamarind wings (tho not together lol)

Having lived in Hanoi for two years, finding a spot that nails authentic Vietnamese flavours is rare, but Tu’s family-run cafe is the real deal. With Tu running the front of house and her mother and brother in the kitchen, the food feels like a genuine home-cooked meal, just look at the photos of that juicy Bahn mi! Beyond the food, the vibe reminded me of a cozy vietnamese cafe. The decor is beautiful and also unmistakably Vietnamese. Doesnt feel commercialized, just feels authentic and home grown. Check this place out, try one of their delicious iced tea drinks, have some tasty food, you'll easily want to stay all day. Ps. Great place to bring your laptop!

I had a great experience at Em and Me Cafe! Everything tasted incredibly fresh, which was my favorite part. The chicken sandwich was absolutely delicious, and I loved that it came with fresh veggies. It really made the sandwich stand out. The shrimp spring rolls were also very good, though the chicken sandwich was definitely my favorite item. The drink was amazing and honestly took me back to being on vacation with its refreshing flavor. The highlight is their amazing cookie selections. I'm excited for all the flavors they are gonna have next. The decor is beautiful and gives off a relaxing nature vibe. It' always exciting to see a great new cafe open, and I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

When I walked into the shop, I thought it was just one of those coffee shops in town and definitely didn’t expect what I was about to experience. Authentic food and drinks. Amazing vibes and decorations. The owners were there when I visited, a very sweet and lovely couple. You could tell they put a lot of thoughts to this place and they care for it. Highly recommended!
