The Latin American market stall that got a kitchen

Tantísimo started as a farmers market pop-up in 2020 selling Latin American pastries. In May 2025 it opened its own place on 46th Avenue North, running breakfast tacos and espresso in the morning and pisco sours at night.

The menu roams: grilled queijo in chamoy fermented honey, churrasco with chimichurri. Morning is the quieter, cheaper visit.

Fun place to go on Sunday evenings IF you want to Latin dance(no partner required)! The food on dinner menu overall is good; -minus one ⭐️however due to bang for buck! It is on the higher end with smaller portions. Example a side plate of Yuca encebollada with mushrooms pictured below was $16.95 plus tip. While it was supper yummy it is pricy for a side. Most entres are $30-$40 and my friends all say everything is yummy! I also love the Bear Creek Farms, Churrasco, leak chimichurri (6oz steak a la cart) $26!😋 The restrooms are always clean. The servers are always nice. The bar is outstanding. Morir soñando…. it’s like a dream sickle in a glass.😋 I only have ever dinned here on Sundays and love the atmosphere on Sundays with the Latin dancing. Drop in and check it out!

I stopped by for dinner on a weekday. The menu is unique. The bartender was wonderful and walked me through the menu and options. I had the bolillo bread with chorizo butter, churrasco with leeks, and a fabulous flan desert. It has been my favorite meal out in the last 3 months. There is an open kitchen and a great vibe you might not expect from the outside. Parking was a little tricky, but it’s a short walk once you find a spot. I’ll definitely be back!

The food was PHENOMENAL! The table shared several items. Each bite of something new was "mmmm that's so good!" And just melt in your mouth. The pork skewers were fabulous. The flan was so creamy and just mmmm. Josh and Ana have done a wonderful job. The food is so fresh. Presentation was beautiful. They even accommodated for a cilantro allergy. Our server, Sabry, was very attentive and friendly.

Came for Sunday Free Salsa/Bachata lessons and a summer cocktail. The place is super cute, good vibes, and love the contemporary Latin flare. Will be coming back again!

From the moment you walk into Tantisimo, it’s clear this is not another restaurant chasing trends. Tantisimo is a love letter to Latin American cuisine executed with intention, restraint, and genuine soul. The decor strikes a rare balance: warm, intimate, and elevated without losing the feeling of home. Every detail feels curated to honor Latin culture rather than commercialize it. The room breathes hospitality. Low lighting, rich woods, textured ceramics, and thoughtful plating create an atmosphere that feels both grounded and aspirational. The culinary execution is where Tantisimo separates itself entirely. Every plate arriving at the table carried the precision of fine dining while still maintaining emotional warmth. The chicken dish was stunning, perfectly cooked and resting in a silky, deeply flavored sauce, accented by razor-thin radish that added freshness, texture, and visual drama. It was elegant without trying too hard. The dessert course was equally memorable: layered textures, restrained sweetness, bold contrast, and artistic plating that belonged in a Michelin conversation immediately. Even the bread service felt intentional, paired with a whipped spread so flavorful it transformed something simple into a statement. What impressed me most was the confidence of the kitchen. Nothing screamed for attention. No gimmicks. No unnecessary excess. Just disciplined technique, balance, and a clear culinary identity. That’s the difference between a good restaurant and one with true Michelin potential. And then there’s the service staff, highly polished, knowledgeable, warm, and incredibly intuitive. The pacing was excellent, the guidance thoughtful, and the hospitality felt genuine rather than scripted. You can tell the entire team believes in what they’re building there. That kind of culture matters, and it shows in every interaction. Tantisimo feels like the beginning of something important for Nashville’s dining scene. It celebrates Latin American flavors with sophistication while still preserving heart and authenticity. Restaurants like this elevate cities. If Michelin expands deeper into Tennessee’s culinary landscape, Tantisimo deserves to be in that discussion without hesitation.
