Olala Cafe

French father-and-son bakery near Cannery Hall
A father and son from France opened Olala on Palmer Place in May 2026, baking croissants and pastries daily and running a full breakfast and lunch menu rather than just a pastry case with an espresso machine bolted on. Crepes are made to order.
The patio is the reason to sit down instead of grabbing and running. It's a short walk from Cannery Hall, useful for coffee before a show.

Here’s a warm, natural review you could post: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Olala Café was such a great find! The cappuccino was absolutely delicious with beautiful latte art, and the buttery croissant was fresh, flaky, and melted in my mouth. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, making it a perfect place to relax. What really stood out, though, was the staff, they were incredibly kind, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Nashville! ☕🥐🇫🇷

This place is so charming!! Though it’s newer it is my new favorite place! It is authentically French! My sister just came back from France and it felt like she was transported back. Part of me wants to keep this a hidden gem but everyone should experience it! The staff and owner were so sweet. My sister even had a great conversation with him in French! I will be back!!

A little on the pricier side, but what isn’t in today’s world! The croissant was very yummy. Super flakey, not dry at all. The size is very decent , big and round. The coffee is probably the best coffee I have had in a really long time. I loved my latte, it was perfect! I asked for caramel and it didn’t come syrupy at all! I would come here again, it’s quiet and peaceful around 9am. Thank you Olala for a pleasant experience

Today morning I visited Olala Cafe, a French cafe, and I must say I was genuinely impressed by everything. I first came across this place a couple of weeks ago on Instagram and read about how it was started by a father-son duo. I also noticed they had opened very recently, and after seeing nothing but great reviews on Google, I knew I had to try it. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the father, which instantly made the experience feel so welcoming and personal. The ambience itself felt very French, from the portraits on the walls to the cutlery and overall vibe of the place. We ended up getting the Almond Pain au Chocolat, Chicken & Avocado Croissandwich, Croque Monsieur, and the Strawberry & Cream crepe. Everything tasted super fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly light. The crepe had just the right amount of sweetness, and their cappuccino was amazing too. Overall, it’s such a lovely cafe, and I’ll definitely be going back to try their crème brûlée next. Okay, I know I just wrote an entire essay about a cafe, but honestly… it deserves the hype. If you’re looking for amazing croissants, coffee, and sandwiches, I’d highly recommend this place.

Best croissant you’ll get without going to France. Atmosphere is cozy like a European cafe. The owner was walking around checking on guests and their satisfaction with their orders. The only downfall is I don’t live here and can’t come everyday.
