One roast chicken, a thousand-bottle wine list

Order the roast chicken. That's not a suggestion, it's basically the whole menu at this Franklin Street spot from the Fulgurances owners, a bistro crossed with a New York diner.

What you don't expect is the cellar. Over a thousand bottles for a room built around a bird is a serious mismatch, and Greenpoint is lucky to have it.

We came to Gigi’s before dinner, and we didn’t have any food. Very big wine list (probably one of the largest in NYC), well curated with some rare wines & unicorn. They have a page for their wines sold under $100, which is nice. Friendly service. Definitely a great spot to visit if you are a wine lover…

Pickle plate and salad were grand but the chicken was underwelming for the main attraction. Fun time though.

Gigi’s is my favorite spot in Greenpoint since it opened a few weeks ago. Ive lived here since 2014 and seen many restaurants come and go. I expect Gigi’s to be around for a long time. Everyone who works there is friendly and welcoming. You can tell there is a great vibe between them all and it shows in how they treat patrons. They have an incredible wine cellar, truly special bottles to choose from which flies under the radar. Their rotisserie chicken is cooked to perfection and the sides, the potatoes, the pickled vegetables, the salads are all great compliments. I feel happy when I eat here or have a glass of wine. I have been back several times already. Definitely worth a visit 🙌❤️

Gigi’s is truly fantastic. The food is delicious, the wine list is beyond impressive, and the service is amazing. I have not stopped thinking about the chicken, and mushrooms, and whipped potatoes since trying them. I would eat those every day if I could. Highly recommend.
