The Williamsburg fried chicken institution lands on Flatbush

Fried chicken is the headline here, and it earned that spot long before this Flatbush Avenue room existed. Catfish sits right alongside it, but the biscuit sandwich, soaked in honey butter, is what people order without reading the rest of the menu.

The recipes made the trip from Williamsburg intact. Park Slope had nothing like this before.

What a freaking dream!! Some of the BEST fried chicken I’ve ever had!! Tastes as good as my Aunties homemade chicken back home in the south! Service was fantastic and I’ll forever be grateful for our curly haired waiter that took time to explain subway routes to me so I didn’t take the wrong train(again.) Well done!!

Brennan was genuinely one of the friendliest bartenders you could ask for. So personable, so accommodating. Enjoyed our time at the bar immensely. Ryan brought our food over and made our night even better. Thank you so much for the recommendations and conversation. Two awesome dudes working together, kinda like Sonic and Knuckles.

Fantastic biscuit (loved the vegetarian chicken cutlet), cornbread and mac n cheese. Loved the famous banana cream pie slice. Might skip the old fashioned doughnut, our only miss. Amazingly attentive service, can’t wait to go back!

The food was awesome! The highlight for me was the Mac and cheese, and my husband enjoyed his catfish as well. Great service lead by the girl who attended us. We are glad that Pies n’ thighs are around now; Highly recommended!
