Forest & Main Fishtown
★ 4.9 · 52 reviews Philadelphia Opened October 2025
Ambler's saison brewery lands in the old Cheu space.
Forest & Main opened on Frankford Avenue in October 2025, pairing the Ambler brewery with the chef behind Gass & Main in Haddonfield. It took over the room Cheu left behind, patio included.
Saisons, lagers and pale ales on the drinks side, french bread pizza and a pork roll hoagie on the food side. Sit outside while the weather allows.

I’ve been here 3x now and can’t say enough good things. The service is always great, even when it’s packed it’s easy to get drinks. The food is EXCELLENT. The vegetarian options are abundant and SO GOOD. Probably my favorite place that’s come to this neighborhood in ages. The prices are good too!

Cute lil spot with incredible beers. Food is also really really good. Got the beer hall hero dog 10/10, truffle fries were super crispy, hot dog nuggz had a nice crunchy beer batter and the bbq boneless wings were great as well. Definitely will be back and recommending to friends! Landers and Mike are the homies!

Beautiful restored stables serving classic beers. Great service, friendly crowd and food looked tasty. Great location for exploring other breweries and bars. Recommended

What a treat to stumble in and see they have an extensive vegan menu here! I cannot turn down a vegan chopped cheese. I wish there was ketchup available but it was still really good! The onion rings were unfortunately so thickly battered I couldn’t even eat half of them, but I appreciate the effort. The beer here is great, we enjoyed everything we tried. Will be back 👍🏼

Perfect addition to Fishtown. The beers are amazing and they have a great variety of hand pulls to deviate from your standard brewery. The food is surprisingly too notch for their small kitchen and everything can be made vegetarian/usually vegan. We had the chopped cheese, onion rings and dressed hot dog (all plant based). They were honestly amazing. The biggest surprise was the onion rings, each one is almost as big as a donut and the batter Is rich, savory and crunchy. I am dreaming about them still. Oh, and the vibe is true F&M fashion with thier unique color pallet and art. All very well done and original.
