Val's opened on South Third Street in March 2026, one of a very small number of lesbian bars operating anywhere in the country.

The drinks have names doing a lot of work, including cherry vodka shots called My Ex Is Here. Food is grilled cheese, pickle platters and a girl dinner that is several starters on one plate.

Wonderful humans dreaming their dream to share with you. Go here and be yourself. At the friendly bar, at a cushy booth, on the steamy patio, groovin on the second floor dance floor, shooting pool cool as a cucumber. Speaking of which, the carrot juice cucumber gin cocktail is a wonderfully vegetal sip. And drafts are very reasonably priced. Do tip well, and not just because they're cute as hell.

Lots of space and a nice outdoor patio to get some air! We had a lot of fun coming here for a pride dance party in June. Decent prices and lots happening re: events!

thank GOD we have a lesbian bar back in philly!!! the drinks are very affordable, the staff are incredible, and the food is delicious (and also affordable)! best part obviously is that it's a bar full of women! no worrying about a man spiking your drink or getting all up in your space or following you out the door. overall an A+ experience.

As someone who doesn't drink, the mocktails are amazing. They have good and diverse music on the weekends. Everyone is welcome, but there are actually lesbians here. Protect this space at all costs. So cute inside and out.

Super awesome lesbian bar with a really cool vintage vibe due to the building they’re in. The upstairs is soooo cool. Coolest pool table spot I’ve ever seen. The upstairs is old wood floors and an awesome old wooden bar. Staff and vibe were amazing.
