Midtown Village cocktail lounge with caviar service and a tomahawk.
Savú opened on South 13th Street in January 2026 as a cocktail lounge with an American menu attached, in a stretch of Midtown Village that turns over often.
The caviar isn't served the traditional way. Otherwise it's lamb meatballs, wings, lobster pasta and a tomahawk ribeye, food built for a table that's already had a few drinks.

The vibes were great. I came early then my reservation and wanted to get a quick bite to eat. I asked to sit earlier than my resy or to squeeze me in an open seat at the bar and the door man was not pleasant and told me to eat standing up basically. However, I did meet the owner and manger and they were very accommodating and kind. They found me a seat for that I will be back again.

Today I checked out Savú with four of my girlfriends. I’ve been to a few other spots in the area, but this was my first time here—and overall, it was a great experience. Pros: The vibe was definitely on point. I really enjoyed the DJs—there was a smooth transition around 4pm, and the energy stayed consistent the whole time. The food was also a highlight. I ordered the Savory Lamb & Grits from the brunch menu, and it did not disappoint. The lamb was well-seasoned, and the grits were rich, creamy, and flavorful without needing any extra seasoning. I also had a mimosa. Even though they didn’t have passion fruit juice, they accommodated me with passion fruit syrup on the side, which I appreciated. Our seating was another plus. Since brunch includes hookah and bottle service, I was initially concerned about the smoke—but the retractable roof made a huge difference. It kept the space well-ventilated, so it didn’t feel overwhelming at all. Cons: We asked about the bottomless mimosas ($50 per person), but were told everyone at the table had to participate. Since not everyone in our group drinks, we passed on that. Also, there’s a strict 90-minute table limit. If you want to stay longer, you have to move to the bar area. I wasn’t a fan of that—it gives the impression that later reservations might have people hovering nearby, especially if you’re seated close to the bar. With a time limit in place, I expected quicker service, but that wasn’t the case. Our reservation was at 2pm, and we weren’t seated until around 2:15–2:20pm. We ordered shortly after, but didn’t receive our food until about 3:15pm. While the waitress did apologize and communicate with us, the service was definitely on the slower side. She did mention that brunch service is still fairly new, which may explain the delays. As for the food itself, I really enjoyed my dish, but my lamb chops came out more well-done than the medium-well I requested. If you prefer medium-well, I’d suggest ordering medium instead. Overall: Despite a few things that could be improved, I had a great time. The food was great, the vibe was right, and I would definitely return. I would definitely like to return for their Happy Hour. Pricing is pretty standard for brunch—expect to spend around $90 per person on average. I’d rate Savú a solid 9/10.

I had an amazing brunch experience here. From the moment we walked in until the time we left, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The entire staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. I had the lamb and grits, and my girlfriend ordered the chicken and pancakes—both dishes were outstanding. Everything was flavorful, well prepared, and beautifully presented. You can tell there’s real attention to detail in the kitchen. The drinks were great, and the music added the perfect vibe without being overwhelming. It made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. This is a perfect spot for brunch with friends, a date, or even celebrating a special occasion. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

⸻ The ambiance is beautiful, but there are quite a few imperfections that stand out for a luxury-scale restaurant. The floor tiling has noticeable flaws, and some of the bathroom doors in the ladies’ room do not properly close or lock, which is disappointing. While it’s nice that hookah is offered, there’s absolutely no place to put it at the table. It might make more sense for this to be a bar-only option or brought out after dinner is served. The retractable roof and the view were amazing and definitely added a nice touch to the overall atmosphere. However, the food unfortunately fell short. Several menu items were unavailable, and with such a limited selection to begin with, that was a major downside. The service also needs improvement. Our waitress was not very attentive and often forgot to come back to the table. Food and beverages were not delivered to everyone in our party at the same time, which created an inconvenience for the group. There were also issues with seating. Even if you call ahead to reserve, they will not seat your party until everyone arrives. If three or more people are already present, it still results in unnecessary waiting, which can be frustrating. Overall, the restaurant has potential because the atmosphere and view are beautiful, but there are several service and operational issues that need to be addressed the DeeJay was the only thing that kept me there. The bar gets really salty at night. If you know what I mean.
