Ddukbaegi
★ 4.6 · 140 reviews Philadelphia Opened July 2025
Korean stews in East Oak Lane, plus a $49.99 hot pot for eight.
Ddukbaegi opened on North Fifth Street in July 2025, serving gukbap, pork mandu and several versions of bibimbap in a part of the city that doesn't get written about much.
Bring people. The grand hot pot stew is $49.99 and feeds up to eight, about as cheap as a group dinner gets around here.

Quality was exceptional and some of the best Korean food I’ve had. Scallion pancakes are a must.

We ordered the seafood pancake, tteokbokki, and the ssambap spicy pork set, and every single dish was amazing. The seafood pancake was perfectly crispy on the outside and packed with flavor, while the tteokbokki had just the right balance of spice and sweetness. The ssambap spicy pork set was the highlight — the meat was tender, well-seasoned, and paired beautifully with fresh wraps and side dishes. Out of all the Korean food I’ve tried in Philadelphia, this place definitely stands out. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and made with care. I’ll definitely be coming back again. 쌈밥에 나오는 강된장이 너무 맛있어서 밥도둑이 따로 없네요 제육볶음에 불향도 가득하고 너무 만족스러운 식사였어요 👍🏻👍🏻

By far the Best Korean food in Philly. Seafood pancake was fantastic, spicy pork belly with Saam was really flavorful. We also got rice cake soup that was cozy and tasty and Kimchi bibimbap that’s amazing. Most of the food is quite spicy (in a good way). Also it’s getting busy now so some stuff might run out then it’s late

I had a great experience at Ddukbaegi. The owner and staff was very friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the visit, which immediately made the atmosphere feel comfortable. The food was excellent and tasted very authentic. Everything came out fresh and full of flavor, and you can tell there’s real care put into the preparation. Between the quality of the dishes and the kindness of the staff, the whole experience felt genuine and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re looking for authentic Korean food and a place with great service.
