Uchi Philadelphia

★ 4.6 · 229 reviews Philadelphia Opened November 2025

Tyson Cole's sushi group opens on Sansom Street.

Uchi opened on Sansom Street in November 2025, its first Philadelphia location after Austin, Miami and Los Angeles. The room is polished and the menu is long.

There's an omakase, a vegetarian tasting menu, and à la carte dishes like lobster in coconut curry. Sit at the bar if you want to watch the work rather than talk.

If there is one experience in Philly you must have it’s the curated 10 course tasting here ! We had Maya as our server and she really made the experience for us. She was super informative about what each part of the menu was and then we were told about the tasting options. We went with the curated one and after Maya heard our likes and dislikes she put together the most fabulous experience. I wish I took more photos but oh well! The plating itself were works of art and every dish had a deep complex flavor profile that I believe a lot of people can appreciate. This was so much more than just a meal - truly a wonderful and complete experience. We will be back!

One of my favorite restaurants in the country. I’ve been to both Austin locations and enjoy it every time. When it opened up in my own city, I was over the moon. Uchi, is well worth the visit. The service is so attentive and the food is amazing. Their happy hour Omakase is my go to and their vegan/vege sushi items are secretly phenomenal. I eat meat and the veg nigiri really really stood out as special. It’s a melt in your mouth situation. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed the happy hour omakase experience. It was less fish than we expected, but it didn’t take away from the experience. The dishes were creative and complex. Our waiter was very friendly and the atmosphere was excellent.

Unexpectedly great experience. Had some trepidation because it's a "chain," but our chef was so sweet and talented, the food was delicious, and the kitchen dishes were great too. Can't really beat a happy hour omakase at the sushi bar. Very good drinks and wait staff, too.

Wanted to try something new for my birthday and Uchi did not disappoint!!!! I want to give extra thanks to everyone who made our experience the absolute best. Jennifer, Ali, Jordan, and the managers were phenomenal. The service was top notch. The knowledge of each dish and how they are prepared was very helpful. Now let’s get to the food. 100000/10 some of the best fish I’ve ever had. The chefs are incredible. The flavor combinations and techniques are just next level. Definitely my new favorite sushi spot in Philly. Can’t wait to go back!
