Argentine grilling on West Ash

Empanadas to start, then something off the grill and a Malbec. It sits at the quieter northern edge of Little Italy, away from the India Street crush.

Piedra Santa opened in May 2025 at 555 West Ash Street, doing Argentine cooking over fire rather than an American steakhouse in Argentine clothing.

We came here for my husbands birthday and we had an amazing time and experience! Very beautiful atmosphere, amazing food and the best service by Juan! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun time and delicious meal. The Beef Carpaccio was hands down one of my favorites! The delicious bread with truffle candle butter (tastes even better than it sounds) Aesthetic and service was top notch, and the wine exquisite!

Came to check out their happy hour on a Friday and the place was mostly empty, so our group was seated immediately. This is a great spot for happy hour for a group since they have a good variety of shareable appetizers as well as entrees on their happy hour menu! Our table ordered the tuna tartare, braised beef cheek, and pappardelle to share, and I enjoyed all the dishes. The tuna tasted fresh, the beef cheek was tender, and the pappardelle was well cooked with just the right texture and chew. This place is normally on the pricier side, but I think the happy hour prices made things more worth it. We also ordered the artisan rustic bread to share among the table, but unfortunately it never came by the time we finished our meal (even after multiple reminders), so we ended up just cancelling it. Overall, a great spot to grab some drinks and good food for happy hour, although not sure I'd pay full price for these items during normal hours.

My husband took me here for my birthday, and it was our first time visiting. Making a reservation was super easy, and from the moment we walked in, I was impressed. The restaurant is absolutely stunning, with such an elegant and romantic atmosphere. It's the perfect place for date night and definitely a spot where you'll want to take a few pictures. The service was amazing from start to finish, and the food was incredible. The empanadas were absolutely delicious, and the New York steak was cooked perfectly. Everything we ordered was flavorful and well prepared. The drinks and cocktails were also so good and paired perfectly with our meal. Everything about our experience was wonderful and made my birthday feel extra special. I would definitely recommend this place for a date night, girls' night, or any special occasion. Can't wait to come back!

What a great overall experience. We stopped by for Happy Hour - 6 stars for Charlie + Omar who took care of us. Drinks were strong and oysters were awesome (large and succulent, not the small cheap ones at other spots). During a time when restaurants are cutting corners and offering smaller portions + up charges, we felt the exact opposite here. Left feeling full and satisfied. Def will be back soon!
