George R.R. Martin's apothecary bar, hidden behind medicine-cabinet shelves

This isn't a themed bar with a few dragon posters. Milk of the Poppy plays it straight: dim light, apothecary shelving, cocktails named after Game of Thrones books, all a few doors from Martin's own Beastly Books in the Railyard.

Bring cash, it's the only thing they take and it trips up first-timers every time. The crowd is half pilgrims, half locals just after a drink, open Wednesday through Saturday nights.
