Aroy Thai Cuisine

Scratch-made Thai food finally lands on the Southside
Aroy Thai Cuisine fills a gap that had locals driving north for years. Everything's cooked from scratch near Armstrong Campus on Abercorn Street, and word got around the neighborhood fast.
The room keeps it simple, no design flourishes, just a kitchen doing the work. Open seven days for lunch and dinner, so there's no excuse to put it off.

Everything was absolutely incredible! So good, I forgot to take pictures after the spring rolls. We got the spring rolls, garlic chicken, green curry, and mango sticky rice. Recommend all of it!

Aroy Thai Cuisine is such a hidden gem on the southside of Savannah. It’s tucked in the back of a strip mall, so you could easily miss it, especially if you’re looking for an excellent, quiet lunch spot. The food is so dang delicious and truly authentic. The chef and owner is from Thailand, and her husband runs the front of house and he is just precious. You can tell she truly enjoys cooking! We started with the pork dumplings, which were melt-in-your-mouth scrumptious, and also had the spring rolls. When I tell you my mouth waters just thinking about those spring rolls, I mean it. We shared the stir-fried chicken with cashew nuts, and I could eat that every single day. And the Thai tea? A treat in a glass. Do not pass it up. The food came out quickly, everything tasted fresh and fabulous, and as a fun little bonus, they allow BYOB. Highly recommend Aroy Thai Cuisine if you’re looking for authentic Thai food, wonderful service, and a truly fabulous meal.

We are visiting Savannah and found this restaurant called Aroy. We thought it would be like any other regular Thai restaurant, but honestly, this place was exceptionally good. We ordered Chicken Satay, Pad Kee Mao, and Thai Fried Rice. I only got two pictures because the Pad Kee Mao was so tasty that I completely forgot to take a picture of it 😁 The Pad Kee Mao had a very unique flavor not like the usual taste you get at most Thai restaurants. Definitely one of the best dishes we tried. The Chicken Satay was amazing as well. The chicken was fresh, juicy, and perfectly cooked. Even the peanut sauce stood out. It wasn’t the typical thick peanut sauce you usually get; the flavor, texture, and consistency were really well balanced and thoughtfully made. Highly recommend this place if you are visiting Savannah. Must try!

Everything was literally amazing. The food (Pad Kee Mao) was good and the portion size is pretty good to. I can eat alot but once I got full I still had a decent bit for dinner later. The Macha tea was the bomb. Would definitely come here just for that and the dumplings too. My friend got a soup (Tum Yum) and I could tell it was flavorful just by the smell and small taste she gave me. She also let me try her Thai tea and it was good too (was a little jealous I didn't order that one too). Great spot with great service. The owner explained that it him, his wife and the wife's mother. The mother and the wife a Thai so its authentic so come try it.

Visiting Savannah from Oregon and wanted Thai food and decided to give this place a try. BEST DECISION!!!!! Clean and fun environment, friendly service! But who cares about any of that when compared to the food. WOW!!!! The dumplings appetizer was so yummy, we ordered more! Definitely worth coming to!! The owner and chef had her own restaurant in Bangkok and makes everything fresh and you can tell. (Photo is of my leftover chicken Thai fried rice. Delicious!)
