One of the best craft cocktail lounges I've been to in the entire country (and I've been to a lot). The Japanese theme is executed nicely in the details (warmed hand towels) and the service. The drink menu is creative and very well curated. The servers seem genuinely bought into the cocktail program and the theme which provides for an overall great experience. Perfect aesthetic and ambiance for a date night.

Tanto is really a gem that I didn’t expect to find in Tampa. It surpasses the best craft cocktail lounges and speakeasies in other major cities. Every drink is an enveloping sensory experience of strangely fitting flavors and I was mind blown every time! The service is attentive, warm, and professional. The space is beautiful and designed to focus on your experience. What they’ve created here is really special. I can’t recommend Tanto enough!

Bartender here in the Tampa area and this is by far the best bar experience that I have had in Tampa. Server Ari was amazing she greeted us with a smile and gave us a complimentary drinks with warm towels. The ambiance, vibes and music were great. This place offers small bites that are great to complement your drinks, and all the drinks are unique and of quality. My drink was Don Fulano with a coconut/corn cream and it was phenomenal. If you’re looking to impress your date with a nice specialty experience this is the place to be, I will definitely be coming back, shout out to the friendly staff.

Went to dinner solo and called the restaurant ahead of time as the app wouldn’t let be book a reservation for 1. They were super accommodating and told me just to come in. The hostess was pleasant when arriving and presented herself with exceptional sleek style. Someone brought me a palate cleanser drink which was rhubarb and lemongrass water. It was smooth and refreshing. The server guided me through the cocktail menu which was an exploration all its very own. I choose the cocktail called Opposite Day- Japanese whiskey, sweet Sauvignon Blanc, salted wine and roasted beets- twist on a whiskey sour but flipped! Oysters were light and fresh and the juice in the shell was precision clean. It really pops the flavors of the oyster. Yellowtail jalapeño handroll- it is designed to be eaten similar to a taco. The yellowtail was superbly fresh, the jalapeno was a mild touch to accompany the dish and didn’t try to be the star. and the homemade soy sauce didn’t over power the fish. Duck leg finished with a Szechuan spice and finished a pear au jus. The duck fell off the bone and was bursting with a complex blend of elegant flavors. As you check is presented they served you the tea of the day which was Hibiscus citrus Japanese tea in the most sophisticated teapot sitting on Japanese bamboo, which was a nice touch in the meal Upbeat modern music vibe Helpful, friendly weight staff that explains every item in detail as you order it, and when it brought to the table.

It was a phenomenal experience! Tony was one of the best server I’ve ever had; his attention to detail, friendliness, and knowledge was impressive to say the very least! Nick as the bartender had natural showmanship without even trying! Definitely coming back!! Music was bumping too!
