Jeff's Bagel Run

★ 4.4 · 157 reviews Tampa Opened March 2026

Boiled-and-baked bagels, never toasted from frozen

Real bagels, boiled then baked from scratch every day. That's the whole pitch at this South Tampa newcomer, and it's enough. House-whipped cream cheese and a rotating cast of seasonal spreads keep the short menu interesting without slowing down the line.

This is grab-and-go built for the morning commute, not a sit-down brunch. It's already one of the busier breakfast stops in the area, riding the bagel boom that's hit Tampa Bay over the past year.

Jeff’s Bagel Run is easily one of the best bagel spots in Tampa! As a single mom with two young kids, finding places where we all feel comfortable means so much, and Jeff’s Bagel Run truly stands out. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly, patient, and kind. Their genuine smiles and positive attitudes made the experience feel special and showed how much they care about their customers, no matter the age. The bagels are absolutely amazing!! They are fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. The spreads are delicious and the coffee is to die for! Try the banana bread latter!! This is the kind of place you can start your day on a positive note. The dining area is clean, and there is such a positive atmosphere that makes you want to come back again. As a mom, I especially appreciate places that make my kids feel welcome while still offering kid-friendly food and a great experience for all. We will definitely be back! Thank you again to the crew who went above and beyond for us.

Bagel was hot and fresh. I’m a big fan of a 2:1 ratio in favor of the cream cheese and that’s exactly what you get! Cream cheese comes separate. So many bagel/cream cheese combinations!

They will NOT toast your bagel because they don’t have a toaster! This is the one thing that keeps me from coming here more often because I like a toasted hot bagel with cream cheese on it, but they can’t provide that. I don’t want a random flavor of bagel hot out of the oven. I want a lightly toasted surface on the bagel flavor I choose because toasting adds a Maillard browning flavor and texture their oven does not provide. When I found out they don’t own a toaster, I did not come back for a long while. But then I forgot. When I start placing my order, that’s when it hits me that they don’t have a toaster. But I’ve already started an order, so I go through with it and sit there eating my room temperature, untoasted bagel trying to figure out how it makes business sense for a bagel business to not own a toaster. It’s mind-boggling.

As a teacher, I hand out grades all day long, and Bagel Run earns an easy A+ from me! The bagels are always fresh, the spreads are delicious, and the coffee is exactly what I need to power through a busy school day. The staff is friendly, efficient, and consistently provides great service, even during the morning rush. Whether you're grabbing breakfast before work or treating yourself on the weekend, Jeff's Bagel Run is one of Tampa's local gems. Highly recommend!

The service was quick and staff - kind. The onion spread was fresh, creamy, and delicious. The everything bagel was tasty. My gripe, like others, is that I prefer my bagels toasted. I'm not into rubbery bagels. Also, seating is limited - 2 tables for 2. It would have been nice to sit down indoors too eat. Note to owner - The bagels were fresh, but were not received hot. Crisp tops are delightful and satisfying to the senses. Blessings
