Over thirty Saigon streetwear labels finally have a shopfront up north

The Raw Compound fills 700 square meters inside Chung Cư 170 Phòng, an old apartment block in Ô Chợ Dừa. More than thirty Vietnamese streetwear labels sell here, most of them Saigon brands that never had a shop this far north before. The concrete stairwells and open-air walkways stayed exactly as they were.

Every brand gets its own rail, so the floor changes as labels rotate in and out. Show up on a weekend afternoon and the crowd skews local, mostly twenty-somethings who'd otherwise have to fly south to see this much of the scene in one place. There's a second location at 109 Lò Đúc.

Good to know

It is inside Chung Cư 170 Phòng, go through the block, not around it.
Open 9am to 9pm Monday to Thursday, later at weekends.

This is a great hub for local streetwear designers. It isn’t a place for minimalist designs though, so if that’s more your style then maybe explore somewhere different. Great atmosphere and would be cute with a coffee shop ☺️

The building is very nice and has a unique aesthetic. The selection is very good because they carry various Vietnamese brands.

Really cool collection of streetwear and unique pieces. Was so cool to see this amount of small local brands in this place. The location choice was also rlly cool.

For me as a tourist, I would say that the shop is really good because it works as a hub of all Vietnamese local brands. So I can see around their collection and styles to match around. The price point is good for the quality. Overall, I would say that this place is a must if you're into streetwear.
