A glass floor over the wine cellar
The cava at Burdo sits underground, right beneath a glass floor, so you eat with the bottles stacked below your feet. It sounds like a gimmick, but the list down there is good enough to back it up.
The menu stays short and changes with the seasons, more comfort food than wine bar. Find it on a corner in Colegiales, a short walk from Chacarita.

A divine place! Excellent and very affordable. The French omelet is a hit, and the beef bourguignon is perfect for winter. The wine list is also worth checking out. I recommend the bar if you're a couple and a table if you're in a group.

My husband and I went for dinner on a Saturday night, with a reservation. The place is very cozy. We chose to sit in the dining room, but it also has a lovely patio. For starters, we ordered the bread rolls with butter and the flatbread, which was delicious. Then we moved on to the main courses. I ordered the lamb with mashed potatoes (I asked for the chimichurri on the side) and the ribeye steak with potatoes (juicy). Both dishes were INCREDIBLE. We were undecided about dessert, and the waiter helped us by recommending the mousse. It was just right, as we wanted, and the portion was perfectly sized. We will definitely be back because it exceeded our expectations in terms of flavor and excellent service!

The food is incredible, each option is excellent, very good service, price its slightly expensive. The place is awesome, old house fully renovated but keeping the original style. Room for a private party. The only problem that i found was that the place is very noisy….

We loved it! We went with friends (there were four of us). The place is very relaxed and pleasant. The staff were incredibly friendly. But the best part is the food. The menu is small, but everything we tried was delicious. The wine list is fantastic. They're not well-known, but they're very good. Martin even came around to give us samples from the cellar. Besides wine, we had Aperol (very well made). The bread basket is excellent. We ordered three appetizers: a very tasty flatbread, a tortilla that was a delicacy, and delicious fritters. Then we shared two main courses: chicken milanesa with sweet potatoes and lamb with sweet potato puree and chimichurri. Everything was delicious. Finally, we had coffee and for dessert, a sponge cake with raspberries and pancakes. I recommend making a reservation. We went on Friday, and it was packed. Excellent value for money. The only thing that could be improved is the acoustics. When it was full, you had to speak a bit loudly. Nevertheless, it's a place I'd always return to.
