House-made sambal, Indonesian edge
The sambal on the eggs is made in house, and it's the reason to linger over breakfast on Bayswater Road. Adhika leans on Indonesian flavours without playing dress-up as a warung.
Breakfast runs later than most spots nearby, which suits Potts Point's unhurried pace. Grab a table outside if the traffic doesn't bother you.

Finally tried this Filipino café and was not disappointed. I highly recommend the chilli egg bicho. I was hoping to try the Manila Morning Taho and the Ube Matcha, but they had already sold out by the time I arrived. Keen to come back to try the other items on the menu.

Adhika is such a lovely little addition to the neighbourhood. Perfect dainty sized dishes for me, great price point and super friendly service. You know it’s legit when most of the customers are Filipino and the staff are singing while they work. The chorizo pudpud is my favourite, but the chilli egg bicho, beef tapa or the brekkie roll are also excellent. I have read a lot of other people‘s reviews so I wish to add some comments: This is a tiny cafe so I wouldn’t recommend it for big groups unless you are the first customers of the day. For the Aussie’s who aren’t familiar with Filipino cuisine - the bread is refined and sweet. The drinks are sweet. If you prefer savoury then go for the beef / chilli egg / rice / chorizo options.

We were genuinely excited to visit this café because it’s a Filipino café, and we even checked their Instagram beforehand. We were really looking forward to supporting a Filipino-owned business, which made our experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, the customer service from the front staff was not very welcoming. As soon as we walked in, we felt a bit rushed instead of being welcomed. During ordering, there was little interaction, and acknowledging customers were missing. At one point, our drinks were spilling, but no apology or tissue was offered. My friend and I ended up feeling quite frustrated and disappointed because we were expecting a warm and friendly atmosphere. Honestly, if the front staff had been more welcoming and friendly, our overall experience would have been much better. The food itself tasted good, but the portions were quite small for the price. The drinks were also mostly ice, and by the end, it felt like we were just drinking melted ice. Considering the serving size, we didn’t feel that it was worth the price. It’s a shame because we were truly excited to support a Filipino café. We hope this feedback is taken constructively, as a more welcoming customer experience would make a huge difference.

The food was absolutely delicious and comforting. Everything was packed with flavor and cooked beautifully. The meats were tender and well-seasoned, the sides complemented each dish perfectly, and the balance of flavors felt thoughtful and authentic. The presentation was simple yet inviting, and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. You can really tell there’s care behind every plate. Definitely a place worth coming back to.

Certainly a go-to for Filipino food when visiting Sydney. Cozy place with homey feels, and food and beverages that are delicious and unique without being "overly-innovative or excessively-creative". The brekkie sandwiches are fantastic as well. Kudos to the kitchen and service teams!
