Café Ivy

Walk-up window out front, quiet courtyard out back, in Graz's university quarter
Café Ivy opened on Schörgelgasse on June 11, 2026, run by Christian Schlager and Tatjana Nicht in Graz's Uni-Viertel. Breakfast runs into lunch and early evening drinks, with filled rolls, sandwiches, salads, and a changing lunch special, served in the back courtyard or through a walk-up window built for pedestrians, what the owners call a pedestrian drive-in.
It opened within days of Das Müller a few streets over, two cafés landing in the same university-adjacent block almost at once.

What a cute cafe! Wow, I was really surprised how good the coffee was! There are plenty of seats both inside and out. The outdoor seating area is also really cute, and I love all the plants. I'll definitely be back. Next time, I absolutely have to try the cookies.

This is the café Graz never needed, but always missed. New flair in old walls—what more could you want? I think the owners are really nice.

Café Ivy is a winner all around: fantastic staff, a really lovely atmosphere, and incredibly good food. And the absolute highlight: even though I don't usually drink coffee, it tastes absolutely amazing here! I'll definitely be back.
