American Vintage finally gets a real Vienna address

The core of amevi is American Vintage, the French label built on soft, washed basics, stocked here for women and men in a proper shop-in-shop instead of a rail inside a department store.

Around that they carry Anni Lu jewellery, Etonic and a rotating handful of other brands, plus shoes and accessories. Neubaugasse has turned into a pedestrian strip of independent shops over the last few years, and amevi sits a couple of doors from the Musette bookshop.

Good to know

It carries both womenswear and menswear, which is unusual for the label's own shops.
The Neubaugasse is pedestrianised, so it is one of the few Vienna shopping streets you can browse without dodging traffic.

Love this brand and place, the shopkeeper takes care of you and knows her items very well. It's a new shop for a legacy brand (French-founded American Vintage) and is very well-appointed inside. The wool sweaters are fantastic and the shop is one of the nicer ones in Neubau. Very friendly, very knowledgeable, selling very high-quality clothing. Highly recommend a visit for funky, non-mainstream, yet tidy clothing.
