Twentieth-century vintage furniture and lighting, picked by an art historian
You know a piece is real vintage here, not a reissue, because the label says so. Mid-century furniture, lighting and decorative objects from roughly the 1950s to the 1970s fill the shop, each tagged with its maker and decade.
Elisabeth Souvan built Tandlas as an Instagram shop before opening a storefront on Währinger Straße near the Volksoper. Her art history background shows in how the pieces are catalogued, not just styled.
Good to know
- Stock turns over fast and single pieces don't come back, the Instagram feed is the reliable way to see what has just landed.
- Weekday afternoons are the opening hours; it is not a Saturday-morning shop.

We purchased a beautiful sideboard at a very fair price. The advice was excellent, and they were also very helpful with loading. We can 100% recommend Tandlas!
